Gardeners who prefer to use "natural" products over conventional chemicals may want to check out Neem Oil. Sold in many formulations, including the readily available Rose Defense by Green Light, it is a broad spectrum fungicide, and insecticide. Used on a regular basis, it is a good preventative for the big 3 rose fungal diseases - powdery mildew, rust and blackspot.
Besides use as a fungicide, Neem Oil is also an insecticide, which means it is effective against aphids and other pests. But remember any product that kills bad bugs also kills good bugs. Depending on your perspective, choosing a "natural" product over a chemical which only target fungus may or may not be kinder to nature. Whichever you choose, always read the label and practice safe spraying.
